Caring home in my heart
There are pieces of home that travel with us no matter how far we go. They can be found in familiar flavors, old songs, certain ways of gathering around a table, or the sound of a language that instantly brings back a memory. Home is often carried in ordinary things — traditions we repeat without thinking, stories we tell again and again, and habits that connect us to the people and places that first shaped us.
Over time, those memories become part of the way we move through new places. We may build a life somewhere different, learn new customs, and become part of communities we never expected to know. Yet the places we came from do not disappear. They become part of the foundation beneath us. We carry them forward, not as something frozen in the past, but as something that continues to shape who we are becoming.
